I was initially inspired to train as a therapist as a result of my own positive experiences as a client. I spent many years feeling unsure of myself and out of control of my emotions and responses. Building an understanding of my own patterns and behaviours gave me the power to challenge them and make the changes I wanted to live a happier and more grounded life.
Prior to qualifying, I spent 10+ working in charities offering practical and emotional support to people from many different backgrounds including asylum seekers & refugees, survivors of abuse and people experiencing homelessness.
Outside of work, I’m a bit of a jack of all trades when it comes to hobbies. Some end up being short lived (knitting began and ended with the one scarf) but others have stuck, such as gardening, reading, yoga and generally being outdoors. I am a fair weather walker though, and am currently trying to challenge myself to embrace the less welcoming elements!
“I find that Jasmine can tune into my feelings, even when i’m emotionally dysregulated. I find her an empathic person that helps me work through my big emotions in a calming and compassionate way”
